Visitors & Green Fees

Welcome to Sherwood Forest Golf Club

At Sherwood Forest Golf Club, we take great pride in upholding the traditions, standards, and spirit of the game of golf. Membership of this Club carries with it a responsibility to conduct oneself with integrity, courtesy, and respect—both on and off the course.

We ask all members and guests to demonstrate consideration for others at all times, to observe the etiquette of the game, and to care diligently for the course. This includes repairing divots and pitch marks, raking bunkers, not taking trolleys between bunkers and the green or in the heather and maintaining an appropriate pace of play.

Respect for fellow players, for our staff, and for the course itself lies at the heart of the Sherwood Forest Golf Club experience. By maintaining these standards of behaviour, we ensure that our Club continues to provide an environment of excellence, sportsmanship, and pride in all that we do.

Heathland Golf

Our  heathland course stands among the purest and most distinguished forms of course in the game. Laid upon sandy, free-draining soil, such ground provides the firm, running conditions so deeply cherished by the true golfer. The landscape, adorned with heather, gorse, and stately pines, offers both beauty and sternness in measure, demanding accuracy, judgement, and respect.

At SFGC, the game is played in its most natural state—upon fairways shaped by the land itself, and greens that blend seamlessly with their surroundings. The heathland’s subtle undulations and tranquil charm lend the course a quiet majesty, often likened to the traditional links, yet imbued with its own distinct inland character.

At Sherwood Forest Golf Club, these enduring qualities lie at the very heart of our identity. The course reflects the finest traditions of the game: integrity of design, reverence for nature, and the spirit of fair play. It is a place where the heritage of golf is both preserved and lived, offering all who play here an experience of timeless grace and distinction.

Couldn't fault it as a venue. The staff really made an effort to welcome us, they were very friendly and helpful. Always the sign of a great venue in my opinion.
